Wordful & Wordless Wednesday: This Says It All

This photo sums up our day yesterday...with or without words! It started early in the morning when my sweet three year old kept saying, "Mommy, my tummy hurts." You can imagine what happened next.

I spent the day sitting on the couch next to her. With tears in her eyes, she kept asking me to sit with her. Her dear friend, Brown Dog, remained faithfully by her side. She is old enough now that she could give me a warning that we needed to make a run for the bathroom, only a ten second window, but enough. By mid afternoon she was a bit better, but the fever kept her on the couch until bedtime.

All through the night she kept calling out in a desperate sounding voice, "Mommy, I'm thirsty." So she had a lot of drinks during the night. I knew she was on the mend when I saw the twinkle in her eye and the dimple in her cheek. Having Mommy bring you drinks in the middle of the night is pretty cool! I was just happy that she was rehydrating, thought I am feeling the effects of the night this morning!

It is so hard when babies are sick! You just want to take it away from them. I'm glad she started to mend quickly. Creative how you summed up your day in that photo.

Oh no... I don't like days like that. The extra snuggles are the only thing welcomed about it ... Hope she's feeling better today!

Poor little thing! Hope she's on the mend! They say a picture is worth a thousand words...and yep, that's about right here!

We've had a lot of sickness around our house in the last few weeks, so I definitely feel your pain! Hope she's all better now!
