I feel kind of like I'm sleepwalking today. Last night, E dreamed that a lobster was trying to eat one of her cuddly toys, and we were all trying to rescue it. She could not remember which toy it was, "But that's OK." This morning as she told the story, she thought it was rather funny. In the middle of the night, not so much. Hence my midday stupor.
Today was our weekly jaunt to the library. It was an extra special outing for the girls (and me) because Phil was able to go with us. Since he was there, we were able to use his library card as well as mine, meaning we could keep a bunch of the books we already had at home and still bring home more. (The library has a 25 item limit per card). So now we have 30 children's books (and two of those are long chapter books) checked out. I think we have more than a little reading in store!
The leaves are falling from the trees, and I am suddenly ready to put up our Christmas tree. We have never put it up before Thanksgiving. Ever. That has always seemed so wrong, somehow. But now I'm asking myself why it's wrong, and if we shouldn't just go ahead and put up the tree. Having the tree up won't make us less thankful, after all.
Speaking of the holidays, Brooke at A Life in Need of Change has a great post today about Christmas "Out" Giving. I hope you'll pay her a visit and read about a great way we can all give this Christmas!
Well, that's all the randomness I have to share for now. It's reading time!
