WFMW: Mickey Melts Work for Me!

Originally posted May 26, 2009.

Tuna melts are one of M's favorite lunches. One day, as I was preparing to fix one, I heard Phil say, "Would you like to have a Mickey Melt?" My first thought was to hope he had a plan of how to do that! And he did. This is a quick, easy lunch that is lots of fun.

Simply prepare the tuna by draining it and adding the desired amount of mayonnaise.

Using cookie cutters (one large and one small), cut one large circle and two small ones out of bread.

Spread tuna on the bread, and sprinkle cheese on top.

Bake in oven (or toaster oven) at 350 degrees until cheese melts (approximately 10 minutes).

It's that simple!

This would also be great with just cheese, or with any other kind of meat/toppings and cheese!

Easy lunches that the kids love work for me! Check out other Works for Me Wednesday posts at We Are THAT Family.

Are you looking for a great gift idea for chidren? From now until December 25, we are offering our kids music CD, Here We Go, for a reduced price of just $9! You can read more about it here.
